The Wounded Achiever

There’s nothing to prove.

Like the Wounded Healer, the Wounded Achiever experienced a fracture in their being. They didn’t feel safe or seen when young. So they responded by becoming invincible to prove they’re good enough.

Everything the Wounded Achiever does gives the subconscious message:

I don’t need anything.

But I can fix your problems.

And I know the answer to most things.

Am I good enough now?...

They’re smart, independent, and often feel tense to the point that they’ve forgotten how to relax or stop thinking (after all, their mind is brilliant and they can be so useful and productive - why stop?!) It’s so hard to just feel in silence.

But if you’re tired of this pattern and are starting to recognise that you’re a human who wants to live and work from a deeper sense of peace and fulfilment, you’ve already stepped off the achiever wheel and onto the path of liberation.

If you’re not sure where to start, practise asking yourself this, anytime you’re anxious:

What are you trying to prove?

Who are you trying to prove it to?

Do you really need to prove it?

The Achiever Wound is the entry point to deeper wisdom and love for the world.

Have a great week,

Amina
